Inspired by a tree photographed during a camping trip in Chillagoe, this hand screen printed linen table runner reflects the raw beauty of Far North Queensland’s ancient limestone landscape.

The design captures the silhouette of native trees shaped by time, wind and mineral-rich earth — a quiet reminder of the region’s deep geological history, formed over hundreds of millions of years from ancient coral reefs and seabed deposits.

Printed by hand in our Cairns studio using eco-friendly inks, this piece brings together natural texture and bold simplicity in a refined, grounded form.

This variation is printed on natural flax linen with black screen print, creating a strong contrast that highlights the structure and movement of the design.

Designed to be used as a dining table centrepiece or displayed as textile art within the home.

This design was inspired by a tree encountered in the Chillagoe region of Far North Queensland — a landscape shaped by ancient limestone formations, coral systems and seabed deposits.

The tree’s silhouette reflects that environment: resilient, minimal and shaped by time.

USE:

Can be used as a Wall hanging or Linen Tablerunner

You can purchase great magnetic hangers online by searching 51cm Poster hanger - as shown in photo.
Photo on table is taken on a rectangular 6 seater timber table that’s 900mm x 2000mm also suits 4, 8 or 10 Seater tables, sideboards & coffee tables.

CARE:
Gentle machine wash, or handwash. I like to to use a washing bag. Gentle machine cycle with similar colours. Max 20 degrees
Once washing has finished - remove wet Linen and immediately hot iron from back first, then front whist wet.
It will flatten your Tablerunner. You don’t need to stand there till it’s dry - just a quick iron over will flatten. Peg or drape for remainder of drying process.
Note: this technique works a treat for any linen items.

*Tablerunner will shrink slightly after first wash, but this will not affect the print.
