Printed by hand in our Cairns studio using eco-friendly inks, the design features native butterflies including the Ulysses Butterfly and Cairns Birdwing — Australia’s largest butterfly — alongside host plants and botanical elements that support their life cycle.

This design is inspired by observing metamorphosis in the natural world — from caterpillar to winged form — and the beauty of transformation found throughout the tropics.
